Hey, man. I'm Scott and I was told you'd be able to show me around this big hunk of metal.

So. Mind if we have a talk about your duplicate and the surprise parties he's been thrown?

So, say I want to not stick out like a sore thumb on the Grid, what kind of hologram do you think should I go for?

[Alan is aware that he and Tron aren’t on the best of terms right now. Given how the program had avoided addressing him at all when he’d made his emergency post last month, it’s quite possible that the program isn’t interested in direct contact to any degree. With that in mind, Alan makes his warning short and to the point.

The only content of his message is a link to Clu’s newly posted listing on the crew directory.]

On the morning of July 16th, Tron will receive a copy of Kevin Flynn’s book Structure and Dynamics in Advanced Computer Programming: Existing in the Digital Realm. (Back cover). The book contains philosophical, technical, and speculative ramblings about computer-user interfacing, including seemingly hypothetical scenarios involving the “digitization” of organic life. An example page can be seen here.

UNDER HIS PILLOW (backdated to 10/1)

[Despite the front door remaining locked and very little else in the room disturbed, a small heap of... something is tucked under Tron's pillow.

Clumsily arranged there, he'll find: a shirt, a single metal bolt, and about ten chess pieces (all pawns).

On top is a note:]

keep it real, buddy

Backdated to 5/4, after the contaminant post

[He's spoken to Yori. Clu. Alan. Yori, again. Really, there's only one part of their collective system group Rinzler hasn't consulted on the issue. He doesn't need to—shouldn't, but...

...he's not the only one with a stake here.]
