[Tron isn't entirely sure what to make of this cryptic message. He hasn't encountered this person before, but obviously they're familiar with Rinzler in some way.]
You mean the way he's been ambushed and set up and portrayed as nothing more than a killer to the people of this ship, to the point that our User thought he had to reprogram him?
I had someone in that was treating it like she was helping him, because she was being mind-controlled once.
I don't think these people understand what being a program is. And I don't think they'll listen to Alan or Rinzler. You and Sam probably have the most respected perspective.
Most people on this ship don't know my past, or the way I am connected to him. I'd prefer it to stay that way, considering the way things have gone. [Also considering his occasional glitches... he'd hate for someone to decide that he's a threat as well.]
Still, if you think there's something I can do to make things easier, I will do it.
Yewll agreed to lend me the hologram collar, but there are limitations. My shape is not... entirely human. There will probably need to be some extra to compensate.
[Alan is aware that he and Tron aren’t on the best of terms right now. Given how the program had avoided addressing him at all when he’d made his emergency post last month, it’s quite possible that the program isn’t interested in direct contact to any degree. With that in mind, Alan makes his warning short and to the point.
The only content of his message is a link to Clu’s newly posted listing on the crew directory.]
[Tron hadn't been aware of Clu's presence on the ship, and the message comes as a shock to him. All thoughts of anger and resentment toward his User are pushed out of his mind... at this moment, other matters have priority.]
On the morning of July 16th, Tron will receive a copy of Kevin Flynn’s book Structure and Dynamics in Advanced Computer Programming: Existing in the Digital Realm. (Back cover). The book contains philosophical, technical, and speculative ramblings about computer-user interfacing, including seemingly hypothetical scenarios involving the “digitization” of organic life. An example page can be seen here.
[He's spoken to Yori. Clu. Alan. Yori, again. Really, there's only one part of their collective system group Rinzler hasn't consulted on the issue. He doesn't need to—shouldn't, but...

[There were more strangely-configured Programs in the system, data pushers, viruses, that sort of thing, but those did tend to draw attention.]
Do you have the ability to do that?
